If you’ve read my previous posts regarding the acceleration cycle (conserve, assess, commit, accelerate), then it should come as no surprise that hockey is at the core of many of my musings.  Indeed, a hockey player goes through that cycle at least once every shift…but what is it that fuels where the player is in that cycle?  Why of all things, it is the lowly hockey puck.

The lilac is the king of marketing in the plant world.

Imagine a lilac bush abuzz with dozens of bees.  That’s what I see every day out my front window at this time of year, with the lilac flowers in full bloom … and it got me to wondering.

Why does this lilac bush get so much focused attention, while the other plants in the same garden get little more than a passing interest from a few individuals?  And how does this buzziness relate to marketing a business?
